Downtime Tracker

Situation

In our department, we faced significant challenges in tracking employee downtime, capturing real root causes of issues, and deriving valuable insights for decision-making. The lack of a streamlined system to monitor these aspects hindered our operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making processes.

Task

To address these challenges, I proposed the development of a tracker system designed to monitor situations on the warehouse floor and interactions with third-party companies that do not share data with us. The proposal included estimated costs and benefits, which was subsequently approved.

Action

I initiated the project by designing wireframes for a simple and scalable solution. Over the next six months, I collaborated with developers and an assigned project owner to refine and implement the tracker system. The system was designed to be adaptable to any warehouse environment.

Result

In February 2024, we began implementing and testing the tracker system, integrating all data into a Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard. After a month of testing, the system was fully operational in ADRL. Recently, I learned that this tracker system is being implemented globally, highlighting its success and scalability.
